He isn’t sure if he was born with it, or if it was honed by all the years he worked for printers and newspapers. But Angus definitely has it. An eye for what looks right, and a sense of what needs to be adjusted to make things go from good to great.
Angus enjoys taking briefs and building designs from the ground up. The principles behind his process are similar to how he approaches his pencil illustrations and fine art drawings, mostly involving the depiction of his favourite fish species. He’s also a keen angler and spends most weekends and holidays out on the water fishing for his next artistic subject.
Angus learned the technicalities of print at places like Queensland Newspapers, an old-school boss that demands precise artwork that adheres to strict specifications. This disciplined approach to design (and his easy-going approach to life) made Angus a natural fit with the team at Uniform Link.
For Angus the best thing about his job is seeing clients smile when he shows them a new design. He loves taking a complex brief and creating a simple, powerful solution that can work across an entire collection.
