As you are aware, in recent years the Modern Slavery Act has come in effect to protect workers throughout the supply chain. Currently, entities need to report under the Commonwealth Act if they are an Australian entity or carry on business in Australia with a minimum annual consolidated revenue of $100 million. Although Captivations does not meet this condition to report we do maintain a standard to ensure that our partners are compliant with all local and international laws. We are proud of the work we produce and partner with compliant suppliers in both Australia and overseas to supply custom made garments, accessories and decoration services.
Our international factory partners have all passed SMETA SEDEX audits and are approved factories.
What is SMETA?
- SMETA is an audit, which helps you understand standards of labour, health and safety, environmental performance, and ethics with your own operations or at a supplier site.
- It is designed to help protect workers from unsafe conditions, overwork, discrimination, low pay and forced labour.
- Our factory SMETA SEDEX audits are conducted by internationally recognised authority Intertek.
In addition to the international compliance, within our local Australian production, all Australian Government compliance and Fair Work conditions are adhered to.
